Turner Family Bible

Clarke's Bible
Published by W Lewis, St. Johns Square, London
Published 1815
Size: 43 x 28 x 9 cm

Pages in fair condition, but several have been repaired. Bible has been in damp conditions and some pages are water stained, but considering that it's in very good condition. It's a church type bible, rather than a family bible, so has large clear print. The family information has been entered inside the front cover as there are no family history pages. The cover is intact and unbroken.

Turner family of Burwell, Cambridgeshire. We quote:

Acquired: Still owned by a descendant of the family (offers considered).
Locations: These Turners are from Burwell, Cambridgeshire, UK. Some are buried in the Burwell Parish Church, St Mary's.

Inside the front cover is the name and address (written as if by the owner):-

Walter Trudgett
Clarence House
Ness Road

It looks like Walter may have been the original owner and the Turners acquired the book around 1839 - maybe as a wedding present. Possibly Elizabeth's maiden name was Trudgett?
