Condition

Gilt edged pages are still in good condition and alignment. Cover is broken at spine, see photographs, and the spine is a bit tatty. All inscriptions are readable.

Written inside both covers, with many dates, include:

At the end of the list is the inscription:

My Beloved Husband passed to his rest Nov 25 1937 at Home with Jesus "Halleluja"
Alice M Beggs.

And, overleaf, the inscription:

William James Beggs, dearly loved Husband of Alice Beggs, called home Nov. 25. 1937. Interred in Bocking Cemetary.

Inside the back cover is written:


Grandfather and Grandmother
William Amos died Augt. 2nd 1880 Martha Amos Died Oct 6th 1877

Locations


Bible acquired in bookshop in Saffron Walden.
Mentions 'London Road Chaple' (sic) and Bocking (which is now part of Braintree, Essex).

Bible has now been 'repatriated' to Lynnette Amos - address available to possible relatives.
